PRIMA (Promoting Women in Academia)

The PRIMA grants launched by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) are aimed at excellent female researchers at postdoc level who have the potential for an academic career and aspire to a professorship at a Swiss higher education institution. PRIMA enables female researchers to acquire independence and scientific autonomy and to sharpen their profile for the next career step.

PRIMA grants cover the grantee's salary and project costs (max. CHF 150,000 per year) for two to five years. The grants permit flexible use of the money and the remaining PRIMA funds can be transferred to the new workplace after an appointment as professor in Switzerland.
